Tatreela
Tatreela Village is situated in Union Council Nagri Bala of District Abbottabad in Khyber Pakhtun Khwa (Pakistan). It is about 30 Km from Abbottabad city & 8 Kilometer from PAF Kalabagh towards the Havelian road. About village, though it is not associated with any historical event; however it is unique in many ways. The thing that could attract most to a visitor on his first time is its natural beauty as village span between the green mountain of Pine & Bihar and is like a beautiful valley. Whats increase its beauty is a stream flowing from eastern side of village to west known as Samander Khata which passes through the middle and divides it in two parts, Tatreela & Dhakan. This stream originate from Baragali & finally fall in Khanpur Dam. Many kind of fishes and species are also found in the stream. To the west, Tatreela is linked with the village Makoal Paien. To the north of village there is a peak named as Tanwee which is famous for its height and keep wonderfull view of Havelian , Haripur city and Kashmir. It takes at least two hours to climb up to top of the peak from the village.These features of village with the eye catching landscapes truly develop a special relationship between man and nature. The village is also distinct from other villages in Galliyat due to its historical events and cultural distinctions as well. The village is very old and has a number of historic features. The Tribes living in Village Tatreela are collectively called Nandial. There are totally around nine different tribes living in Tatreela. The name Nandial after the name of their grandfather Nuda Khan. Nuda Khan was very famous for his bravery & piousness. He defeated many tribes of surrounding who tried to capture this area specially the Dund. The name of the Tatreela's tribes, are Kamlal, Rulial, Terial, Malkal, Jafkar, Misrial, Dilial, Samwal & Bakarwal. Another specialty of this village is that there is no preference to any tribe here. All the families bear the surname of Sardar. Although they are weavers by caste, there is no sign of weaving. Every Tribe member has relatives in other tribes thats why they feel eachother equals and are loving to eachother. In simple unique way all castes are totally dependable on each other. Nobody can survive without the help of others. Simply there is harmony , faith , trust among the villagers and they all living peacefully.
Being deprived of the any help from Government or outside they solely depended on farming for years. Since that day they have been doing agriculture so this it is the profession of most of the people. Beside this a vast majority also rely on business.
In spite of distant location from Abbottabad our village is a better one. The main road is less than a Kilometer away from the center of village. There is a school (for girls and boys) with teaching facility up to the Middle stage. For the purpose of medicine the villagers dont need to depend on outsiders, as there is dispensary on which people of other villlages also rely. There is a post office as well, and a small kind of market. It also has Telephone facility (landline) and almost every family in the village enjoying mobile phone services as a norm as well. The water lines are up to mark as there is no shortage in any area now previously they have to bring water from distant fountains or streams. The police station (Dunga Gali) is also not much farther only 8 kilometer from village. Overall the standard of living is gettting better and better.
This site exist because Tatreela and Nandials are so important for me because my lots of childhood memories are associated with it. I dedicate this website to people of Tatreela (called nandial), to all my teachers , elders and request them to correct my mistakes like they used to do in the past. I would be highly obliged and feel honoured.
