Tatreela Village is situated in Union Council Nagri Bala of Dist. Abbottabad. It is about 30 Km from abbottabad city & 8 Km from PAF Kalabagh on Havelian road. It is beautiful village between the  green mountain of pine & bihar. It has one stream named as Samander Khata  which divide the village in two parts, Tatreela & Dhakan. This stream starts from Baragali & ends in Khanpur Dam. 

To the north of village there is a peak named as Tanwee is famous for its height and view of Havelian , Haripur city & Kashmir. It takes about two hours to climb the peak from the village.

 Population of village is about 10 thousands. According to voter list of 2008 total vote of both parts of village is about 3000. 

The village is divided in many localities such as Danna, Terhat, Pari, Hotar, Akhrota, Tand, Mar, Lari , Lapara, Tongi, rangiala, Taki, Baghlota etc.

 

The people living in Village Tatreela are belong to Karlal Tribe and called themselves as Sardar. The Karlal are mostly settle in mountain area of Abbottabad ( Galiat valley) & Haripur.  The name of Karlal came from Sardar Kallar Shah who came from Afghanistan.

The people of Tatreela are locally called Nandial after the name of their grandfather Nuda Khan. Nuda Khan was very famous for his bravery & piousness. He defeated many tribes of surrounding who tried to capture his area specially the Dund. There are totally around nine different sub castes living in Tatreela, they are called Kamlal, Rulial, Terial, Malkal, Jafkar, Misrial, Dilial, Samwal & Bakarwal.

The village is famous for its modern facilities. The village has an attractive building for Govt Middle school tatreela for boys & Girls.  Girl school building is effort of Sardar Muhammad Idrees ex minister of KPK. Electricity & water is almost 100 % available to all houses.  One big scheme of water is also given by sardar Idrees.

There is about 2 km link road from main road to village. MPA Barristor Javed abbasi has provided some fund for improvement of road.

There is a  beautiful Mosque in the centre of the village which is made by great efforts of Maulana Muhammad Daud. Who is most respected personality in the village. The mosque is completed by local fund & mostly from Kuwiat charity fund.  The people of village are 100 % belong to faith of Ahl Hadees Maslak.

The most famous personality of the village was Late Maulana Muhammad Idrees. Who was a member of All India congress. He took participation in many movements. 

Other personality is Retd subedar Muhammad Hanif very truthful man. He participated in world  war  ii on Germany & Italy border in 1941. His age is nearly 100  years &  still doing work on his fields.

 

Sardar Gulbaz  is also a prominent &  political personality. Once he was selected as counselar of UC Nagribala.

Sardar Dadan Khan who remained Chairman of UC Nagribala from 1979 to 1983 is also a respected man.

Hakeem Ali afsar is also very famous in his profession. He has good knowledge of plants & prepares different medicine at home. His clinic is in Kalabagh.

Atique ur Rehman is a renowned business man he is in Saudi Arabia since 1979. 

Sardar Muhammad Zaman of dhakan is also a political figure.

Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob is also a political supporter of PMLN.

The people of our village are serving in different field of life, such as teachers, Army, navy, air force, transporters & business.

Many students are studying in  higher classes such as Msc, MBA, MS & PHD.

About village, though it is not associated with any historical event; however it is unique in many ways. It is important for me because my lots of childhood memories are associated with it. The village is historically separated from other villages in Galliyat due to its historical events and cultural distinctions.  The village is very old and has a number of special features.

Another specialty of this village is that there is no preference to any family here. All the families bear the surname of Sardar. Although they are weavers by caste, there is no sign of weaving.  Every Tribe member has relatives in other tribe that why they feel each other equals and are loving to each other . In simple unique way all castes are totally dependable on each other. Nobody can survive without the help of others. Being deprived of the any help from Government or outside they solely depended on farming for years. Since that day they have been doing agriculture mostly.

In spite of it our village is a developed one. The main road is less than a  Kilometer away from the center of village. There is a school (for girls and boys) with teaching facility up to the Middle stage.  For the purpose of medicine the villagers do not need to depend on outsiders, as there is dispensary on which people of other village also rely. There is a post office as well, and a small kind of market. It also has Telephone facility (landline) and almost every family in the village enjoying mobile phone services as a norm as well.  The water lines are up to mark as there is no shortage in any area now previously they have to bring water from distant fountains or streams. The police station (Dunga Gali) is also not much farther only 10 kilometer from village. Overall the standard of living is getting better and better.
